FAQ's
How long will the stain last?
There are alot of factors that affect how long the stain lasts such as the amount of UV it gets, colour of stain you choose, how exposed it is to high winds, rain, winter and any other elements that may affect it. For this reason we cannot give you a definitive answer but we can say that using our recommended CUTEK products will ensure it lasts longer than any other stain on the market based on proven studies. We like to say around 2 years before it starts to lose its protective qualities and fade.
How long will the job take?
How much does it cost?
Cost is job-dependent, but we offer E-Quote estimates and free follow-up quotes. Higher quality results will cost more than lower quality results and we will work with you on finding a price that works for you. We are students and we are a relatively new company so we aim to undercut professional costs while still providing professional results.
Why should I use your services if my deck is brand new?
At Decked Out we love transformational jobs on old decks as they create show stopping before and afters and they put big smiles on our client's faces. Truth is its much more wise to start protecting your deck from the beginning. Curative jobs are costly and only get more expensive the longer you leave your deck neglected. Preventative jobs on brand new decks cost alot less and make sure your deck stays in prime condition for as long as you are willing to maintain it for.
When should I contact you for a re-stain?
The re-staining process is extremely cheap, easy and quick. When you decide to re-stain depends on what you care about most.
If you care about protection: Call us for a restain when you start to notice the water isn't beading up on the surface of the wood anymore.
If you care about appearance: Call us for a restain when the colour is mostly faded.
